About the Koha PR Work Group

Members: Sarah Carlson (STO), Tana Elias (MPL), Susan Lee (MPL), Mark Ibach (SCLS), Maggie Kenaley (VER), and Vicki Teal Lovely(SCLS)

Charge:

• To explain ILS system changes and benefits that result from the migration to Koha.
• Create a logo for the new catalog.
• To develop and disseminate PR materials that libraries can use to enhance awareness of the new ILS. These might include, but are not limited to:
  • Bookmarks
  • Fliers/Brochures
  • Posters
  • Press releases
  • PowerPoint Presentations
  • Print/Audio PSAs
  • Advertisements
  • Delivery Vehicle Signs
  • Contact with Regional Media Outlets
• Prepare and implement Facebook and Twitter posts for library patrons.

Goal: Develop public relations materials that will help participating libraries explain to patrons the ILS changes that occur as a result of the migration to Koha.
